In the GT console, I am getting "Unable to connect to host (IP address)" and I am not sure what to do.

Client: Azureus (latest version).
Router is configured to allow traffic in and out of the GT port.
Azureus is configured to the GT proxy port.

Also, I am getting no change in my tracking, ie I am have 0 0 0 for upload, download, and change. I have my GT prgm set to 5 times the upload I have. Nothing fancy, nothing too greedy.

Any help please? Thanks in advance!

"Unable to connect to host (IP address)" are mostly caused by stagnant peers.

In utorrent, clicking the "Clear peer list" will remove these messages.

If GT doesnt show a change in "Modified upload" that means you havent properly configured the proxy setting in azureus.

Really? Not configured the proxy settings... I followed it exactly to the screenshot and directions. What else should I be doing?

I also changed the ports for GT back to the default and still nothing. I made sure to restart both Azureus and GT, starting GT first. Nothing.

One more thing, when I restart Azureus, then I get the modified upload rate. Is this normal? At first once I connect to a tracker, it has 0's across the board.

Oh, and even with the settings like I have, I am not seeing my ratio go up at all.

Ok, I think I have it configured properly...

I am taking it that I won't see an immediate change in my ratio?

Well nitro, now that you have configured it properly, you should be seeing the updated ratio on the tracker shortly. The delay in updating the ratio depends on the tracker design. Most trackers display the updated ratio in the next minute or so, but there are some that update ratio only once a day. So wait some time.

One word of advise, don't use very large multiples to increase your real fast. Its likely to result in detection and ban of your account.

A gradual increase is the best thing to do, and still, if you were not at all uploading anything in your past, its advisable to get a new account (if possible!) and start from scratch so they can't detect a major change in your uploading habit. If you can't get a new account, use very low multiples at first (start at 1?) which gets you matching values of upload in your past, and slowly increase multiple over days and weeks to larger ones.

Good luck and enjoy! Smile

Nitro ,

You wont see any modified upload value in GT when u intially start using torrent client.you have to wait mostly 30 minutes to see a change in upload value.

Most tracker's update interval is 1800 seconds or 30 minutes .

Thanks for the help guys! I mainly use public trackers (not private trackers) so I should have no worries about being caught with my new seeding habbits Laughing . I am setting my upload rate to 2.35 times my download rate per the documentation as to not get caught.

Oh, and another thing... I have been a nice seeder uploading 1-2 copies of the file before I get off, it is just recently as my downloads are getting into the GBs that I can't share something that big on a low upload connection. I would like to, I just can't. Consequently, it has hurt my ratio and that is why I like this program.

Btw, you guys are on the home page of http://www.filesharingplace.be/ !
