You could build yourself a PC/server that consumes only little electricity and use that to seed.
Or get an account on a usenet server / comparable and then leech.
You might be right that on elite trackers you often waste electricity without uploading, so stay away from these trackers or try to leech without cheating. |

As far as I've understood, the tracker admins have made no progress in successfully distinguishing a GT user. That's all I need to know, to keep on using this tool and seed only when I like to.
I do seed, when I am sure what I'm seeding is good content, and when the life of that torrent is at stake. I don't like seeding just to keep my ratio up. To maintain my ratio, I prefer using GT. And you bet, its a damn good tool at it. |

4000kbps/128kbps ( = 500kB/s / 16kB/s)
To be fair I usually only get 200kB/s on torrents, but that's still more than half a day seeding for each hour I download - as* I can seed at full speed!

However if you have a 20/1 connection I can't see how you can complain.... a 4.5GB torrent must take all of 30 minutes to download. Surely you can manage to seed it back for a few hours while you play games/watch a movie/study? |
