Problem: While the uploads seem to be getting magnified and are limping right along (6.7 kB/s), the downloads have gropund almost to a halt (0.3k b/S). Since this is a cable connection, I usually do much better.
GT is constantly warning it is trying to solve a NULL hostname and is giving up. The Log is mostly "Failed to parse client requests"
--------------------------------------------------
My Client: uTorrent 1.8.3 (Beta)
My OS: Windows Vista Ultiomate (x64) SP 1
GT Version: 1.00 Beta
--------------------------------------------------
GT Settings:
Port used: 3141
Ratio: 5.5 x Upload
Start on Log in enabled
--------------------------------------------------
uTorrent Settings:
Port for incomming connections: 3141
Options Checked: uPnP port mapping, NAT-PMP port mapping, Add Firewall Exception
Options not Checked: Randomize port each start
Proxy Server type=HTTP, Proxy=127.0.0.1, Port=3141
Options Checked: Resolve hostnames through proxy, Use Proxy Server for peer to peer connections
Options not checked: Authentication
--------------------------------------------------
Whew! Hope that helps you fix it.

In the past, I've had neighbors in adjoining apartments go belly up but nobody noticed for months. Think we should worry? Anybody notice any funny smells?

Seriously, where can I get the older (and more functional) version? Smile Shocked

I have the same problem. If you go to uTorrents preferences, and then to BitTorrent and disable everything it helps. But I still get the messege.
