Being a cheater to some and honest upload to other trackers, I find it very difficult to run GreedyTorrent. It is very easy to forget you actually have it running and make the mistake of cheating where you wouldn' want to. So I ask humbly for a new feature - filters.
The filters consist of two parts - conditions and actions. A condition can be a string found within the tracker URL or (depending what Greedy is passed to by the client) torrent name string. The action is "modification off/on" and then setting separate Modifier based on Upload/Download, which has priority over the default modifier.
Another type of action that I would like to see is Automatic GHOSTing. Automatic Ghosting actually blocks queries to the tracker based on several rules:
1. Block queries to the tracker after first X queries (usually 1 or 2).
2. Block queries to the tracker when modified upload reaches X.
Blocked queries are cleared in the next Greedy session.
3. Persistent block. Blocked queries are not cleared in the next Greedy session. Basically you limit forever the queries based on the filter.
Also, please add an option to have Greedy turned off by default and only triggered by filters. This will be extremely helpful if people want to cheat on exception not by the rule.
Thanks in advance. I know this is a whole lot to implement but thankfully it's easy stuff, just adding more hoops for the queries to check through based on options. No hardcore kernel recoding. |

Yes, I need that too ...
In need some addition to the request. Automatic Switch, if GT detected upload is larger than download then it will use the upload ratio or vice-versa. |
