One more quick question for Azureus: the share ratio portion of the interface, will it change due to GT?

I dont think so....azureus will show the real upload figures while GT shows them with modified ratio.

ratios are updated only at the tracker Smile

Aah, ok. Thanks! I thought that the trackers transmit to the client when the ratios are good.

I'm using utorrent 1.6.1 and getting the same "Unable to connect to host" messages. I can't find the "clear peer list" option anywhere!

Well nitro, now that you have configured it properly, you should be seeing the updated ratio on the tracker shortly. The delay in updating the ratio depends on the tracker design. Most trackers display the updated ratio in the next minute or so, but there are some that update ratio only once a day. So wait some time.

One word of advise, don't use very large multiples to increase your real fast. Its likely to result in detection and ban of your account.

A gradual increase is the best thing to do, and still, if you were not at all uploading anything in your past, its advisable to get a new account (if possible!) and start from scratch so they can't detect a major change in your uploading habit. If you can't get a new account, use very low multiples at first (start at 1?) which gets you matching values of upload in your past, and slowly increase multiple over days and weeks to larger ones.

Good luck and enjoy! Smile

HMMMMM bit of contradiction in this quote.

Notice how he admits to it being able to be detected Wink

Hi
I'm using this with bitlord 1.1. When i've got the GT log window up, i'm noticing a strange error. Whilst every few minutes it connects to a tracker and successfully modifies the ratio etc, every ten seconds or so in between that, it says in the status bar "connecting to tracker.slotorrent.net (192.168.2.1)", and then above it in the log window it will say "unable to connect to host (192.168.2.1)".
I thought 192.168.2.1 was a local network address? (altho mine is slightly different to that).
Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Also ive been downloading for almost an hour now and my download is still only half my upload or less!!

thanks
mark
