Can GT be detected by tracker admins and does GT modify BT..

Just wondering how safe GT is...

1) Can it be detected by the board admins?

2) Does it modify the client string? If I connect with uTorrent, will the tracker see GreedyTorrent string anywhere or will they see uTorrent?

Well, the answer is Yes and No. If u set an abnorminally high value and the admins run a script to find discrepencies from your "normal" upload and download values, they "could" detect you. "Could" being the operative word. Be careful and they cant detect you.

No the client string is not modified. The tracker "sees" only the client as it is. Greedy Torrent is just a proxy with its uniqiue features

Site admin's will ban you only if you use huge upload ratio numbers.

If you use GT to maintain a 1:1 ratio with small upload ratio numbers then you can survive for a long time

Ahh... Programs like this are the death of torrent sites.. If your client is "pretending" to seed to people, what happens if everyone does that? You will get zero speed and torrents will be useless. Go back to public sites and stop cheating the private ones, if you need this program, you obviously don't belong there anyways.

It will be able to be soon. OR just ban the use of proxies all together.

Majority of torrent sites are aware of this site and this program. The devs will have a fix out for it soon I'm sure.

Its a wonder why most private sites are invite only, to keep out trash.

Ban proxies??? How would the tracker even know a user is coming via GreedyTorrent???

Well, GreedyTorrent doesn't give the tracker a clue that the communication is modified. The tracker has absolutely no way of knowing if the client is using a proxy or not.

The reason for this little program, explain a little bit..

Is it that you don't like private torrent sites? You want them all to be closed down? You mom never told you to share with others? What is it?

Cheating programs will do just that, they will close down communities..

If you don't want to share back then why not just go to public sites like mininova, piratebay, torrentspy etc? They don't care about ratios, you can download all you want on your sh** connections and not have to worry about ratios.
