| I'm using Azureus 2.5.4. GreedyTorrent is set at 2.5 times the download speed. It seems to be working, but my ratio is actually going down. Is this normal? |

This setting will definetly improve your ratio... 
btw, set GreedyTorrent to modify your upload speed rather than download speed...

Well, It certainly seems a bit odd.. Are u sure that the ratio is going down? Maybe ur ratio was, say,... 0.064 and now it shows 0.23 or something like that... it certainly is an increase.. if u do the math...  |

| My share ratio was 0.689. I set greedytorrent at 2.5 mb uploads for every 1 mb downloaded. I checked it after 3 hours and my share ratio was 0.681. I checked greedytorrent and it appears to be running just fine, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. |

Well, I guess the problem could be that Azurez isn't uploading anything. That is, nothing is being uploaded from your computer. So when greedy torrent tries to modify the upload it gets a zero value. And as we know any number multiplied by zero = zero. So I guess u may want to change the option to 2.5 times download instead of upload.
This usually happens when there are many fast seeds and the other peers get the data from fast peers and seeds and not from your computer. Hope this clarifies !! 
Other thing could be that your actual upload speed is greater than your download speed for that torrent, and 2.5 times your upload is still less than your actual uploaded value.
Does this make sense?? |

My upload is currently at 43.3 k/b while my download is 77.8 k/b. I'll change download to upload in greedytorrent and see if that helps.

I can't seem to make GT not cheat my fellow private tracker users out of a fair share of my bandwidth... any fix for that coming so it only gives what I take instead of lieing to the site about it? Any way to make GT not cheat?

On the side note: If this client is all about giving leechs a fair chance...
Why even bother setting the multiple to be user defined. Why didnt you just give them a 50/50 chance... meaning hardcode it to send 10mb for every 5 MB they acctually send.
Also why allow them to modify whether it increases based on uploaded totals or downloaded totals. Make it just increase based on the uploaded totals.
If your lying about the reasons for this tools creation here... makes me wonder what else are you lying about here? |
