Being paranoid about getting banned on some high-profile trackers, I have to ask: does GreedyTorrent change the port that is used to send tracker communication to the tracker?
If my PC sends data to GreedyTorrent's 3456 port, then does GreedyTorrent sends the modified data to the tracker via the same port? Or, because I don't understand that too much, can the tracker tell that I have GreedyTorrent by the communication data alone, not the numbers I declare?
Thanks. |

Hi!
Sorry for the delay in replying, the forum was under maintenance for the past 12 hours.
GreedyTorrent does not use the fixed 3456 port for external communication. The outgoing port it chooses is random, similar to what your bittorrent client does. So you don't have to worry about detection at the tracker.
