I am on this tracker for more than 6 months, and there was this one time when my ratio went 0.399, and I was seeding like crazy for 7 days to get it to 0.610. These trackers are really not for guys like you and me.
Also, it's mathematicaly impossible for everyone to have ratio 1:1. Let's say you have 2000 users with ratio 2:1 (real situation). When someone new comes, he has to download first, and then seed. But he cannot obtain 1:1 on that signle torrent he seeds because if he (and all other new users) would have 1:1 ratio, there would be more bytes uploaded than bytes downloaded. It's a contradiction.
So you must have users with ratio above 1.5:1 (dedicated releasers, people with high speed connections who keep torrent alive early on). Ergo, there must be large number of people with ratio lower than 0.75:1 (people who join torrent later in lifecycle, people with poor upload speeds).
But, when you download a big torrent, your ratio usually drops, because you have much bigger download speed than upload speed. It might be below the limit (usually 0.5). When you finally finish downloading, you might find yourself in a situation where there are 10 to 1 seeder to leecher ratio, and you practically have no one to upload to. Then you have to pray that the torrent you were downloading was popular enough that it would have leechers a week from its release, so you could upload to them, when the heat from high speed uploaders cool a bit off. |

I don't care *****.
I can seed 1mb for every single solitary mb I download.. why is that so incredibly hard for you to do?
Impossible to achieve 1:1 ratio? god I'm tired of this lame as* excuse... hell I bet the excuse needs a break from being used ... try another pathetic excuse you boil on the as* of humanity.

Mumbling? How thick are you? I'm not quietly saying any of this, or alluding to how pathetic I think this bit of cheater software is (as mumbling indicates one's tone you tool).
Speak like a man? Ok, how's this.... I don't cheat. I don't use modifiers to cheat. I don't use lame excuses and blame my ISP for my inability to seed that which I take. If I join a site, read the rules, which clearly state 'give what you take' then I, as a man, tacitly agree to follow those rules. As a man I don't agree to the rules then break the rules, then blame others for it, then come up with reason's as to why I should break the rules. You see, real men, such as myself, do as they say they will do. Men, such as myself, stand up for that which they agree to, be it a handshake agreement or a signed bit of parchment or a box ticked on the internet.
That's how a man responds.
A child responds with .. wah wah, I can't seed cause my ISP... wah wah, I can't seed cause it's mathematically impossible... wah wah, I can't follow the rules cause I'd rather be a cheater that destroys the whole idea behind filesharing.... see that you inbred as*? Filesharing... to share. Give and take in a fair manner. Not take and keep without thought of sharing. Not take with thoughts only of how to beat the system.
A thought comes to mind... we were told a few years ago it would be impossible to catch cheaters with the RM modifier.. guess how that turned out?
A second thought occurs to me... this site makes light mention of Bram Cohen, who we all know sold out for a few pieces of silver. Who's to say this site hasn't also sold out? What if this bit of software reports all resolving IP's to the authorities? Hope you don't get a letter in the mail from the feds for filestealing.
A third thought occurs to me.. how dumb are you that you can't answer the simple question I posed earlier? .... If I can seed 1 mb for every mb I leech, how come you can't?
Answer that without the lame excuses 'mathematically impossible' or 'my ISP has me capped'.... come on *****, I dare you to answer that?
I might have more respect for you if you just said.. Hell uber, I just like to cheat, at least I'm honest about it. However we all know that ***** like you would rather obfuscate the truth with lies and half truths and childlike excuses than be a man and tell the truth.

Ok.. so are you saying that you work for the MPAA, RIAA or with Bram Cohen who already sold out to them? Those ***** also bought uTorrent.. so maybe you are working with them. Never know will we? I can't trust cheaters to tie their own shoelaces.

Yes, at least you're honest about being as thick as you are. Yes you cheat, yes you endorse cheating. Yes you admitted both those things. However, tool, I meant it more in the sense of 'honest user on private trackers that doesn't ever consider using ratio modifiers to lie about seeded amounts'... do you understand now or should I draw you a picture? I'll use crayola crayons so you can look at the pretty colours and not get distracted by facts and innuendo.

I have an EASY answer for you! Surely even you will be able to understand this one.. DON'T USE PRIVATE TRACKERS! Your speed sucks, go to public trackers, change all your bookmarks, forget private trackers exist. You won't have to ever worry about ratios again!
Either do it now, or when we ban you and you won't have a choice anyways... You pick. |

I've only read a little of the previous posts, sorry I got a bit bored.
I code trackers, on a lot of trackers we have means of detecting cheats such as this, some are published tools, others aren't, then there are staff that lookout for abnormalities in ratios.
The latest tracker I have put up gives each user a 2gb download safety zone on joining, it also puts up 'free files' where your download isn't recorded but your upload credits your ratio.
We also only expect members to attempt to upload for 3 days max, then, if wished, the ratio will be reset to give you back that download.
We never ask for donations or sell GB's either, we are trying to be fair and build a community at the same time, so what would be the legitimate point in attempting to use such a tool against such a site ????.
Tools like this destroy the very ethos of private torrent sites, I'm sorry your knowledge couldn't have been put into something less harmful.
BTW my connection is pretty crap but I have no problem keeping my ratio on private sites I dl from without resort to things like this.
The coding in a lot of sites already nullifies this application so don't be surprised when someone bans you. |

I do use public trackers. 70% of the stuff I have downloaded were from public trackers.
There are some private adult trackers, which I'm a memeber, which don't care about ratio. That's 1% of stuff I download
But there's a certain form of entertainment which cannot be regulary obtained form public tracker, because either releases are late to public trackers, or there are no releases at all to public trackers.
So I'm enforced to use these few private trackers, until they too open to public, which I don't think would be happening soon.
I just don't see a point releasing something ONLY on private tracker. Why not share with EVERYBODY, and make releases to public trackers?

I would not use this tool if private trackers I use were like yours. With those harsh rules they're enforcing, I was still able to maintain 0.6 ratio. With this tool I will maintain 0.6 ratio, but with less sweat.
Of course I will seed. I'm currently seeding a torrent. Total elapsed time on this torrent is 39 hours, out of which 26 were spent donwloading. And beacause the torrent was too healthy, I uploaded only (real stats) 303MiB. I used this tool to report something in line of 450MiB. I still uploaded these 303MiB. I spent 13 hours seeding. I'm seeding right now. But 303MiB? I don't see how this helps anyobody. I have a good will to seed. But what to do when situations like these occur more than often. |
