torrent tracker don't allow proxy connections?

im using uTorrent 1.7.5 (build 4602)

configured it jus the way the documentation said i should, but i switched the ports around. no matter what port i switched it to, it still detected and it kinda floods GTor with Data.

See the other 3-4 recent topics about it. I had the same problem, but after I downgraded to 1.7.2 or 1.7.4 the problem was fixed.

also, try changing the listening port. This also seems to work.

I am having the exact same problem. Everything had been working just fine untill I upgrated to UT 1.8. I haven't changed configuration or anything like that... well its not working anymore.. some proxy error. And GreedyTorrent is idle. Could it be that GT is not compatible with newer UTs?

BTW: DHT is working ... but I guess this won't help

Ok I "fixed" the problem by downgrading to 1.7.6... but as I see this is a common issue here (a lot of ppl have this problem when they download a newer version of UT).

Does anybody know how to make GT work with UT 1.8?


PS.

The funny thing: It seems that GT will work with UT 1.8 on my computer with windows xp but it is still idle on the one with vista.

utorrent 1.7.7
latest greedy

in winXP SP2 compatibility and run as admin

works like a charm

I use vista ultimate
the same thing
i changed proxy from localhost to 127.0.0.1 - gtor started running )
plus utorrent don`t have any problems anymore (utorrent 1.8.x)

vista problem fixed:
Go to internet Explorer
then tools
then internet option
then connection then click on LAN setting
then click on automatically detect setting
