|
|
Well.. I was using GT with uTorrent 1.7.7 and it works really good.
Today I've updated my uTorrent to the version 1.8.
The problem is that when I start GT and then uT 1.8 nothing happens.
Before (on 1.7.7) in the GT logs appears "data received from tracker" and some other things but now it only displays "Greedy Torrent Starts running".
Ive checked the ports and the configs and all appears to be fine..
MISC: I'm using Vista SP1
Thanks |

This problem also occurs with XP running. The tracker error is "Proxy connection error".... developers please see if this could be fixed ASAP. |

Same here. Using vista SP1, upgraded to utorrent 1.8.
Uninstalled NOD just to make sure it wasnt it, but same thing still.
Using Greedytorrent, 1.00 beta.
"Cant connect to proxy because target computer refuses it" it says if i roughly translates it.
can download fine with utorrent if i take away the proxy option. |

Easy fix
Go to uTorrent's Options - Preferences - Connection
Proxy: 127.0.0.1
-not localhost |

Thanks for the tip! Now it's working!!
But you should add that tip to the Documentation, so people don't need to search here... |

Thanks for the so called easy fix to our hero boboo who really made every GT user's day using the Utor 1.8
One more thing, it would be prudent to reflect in the website's announcement secction for any crucial developments or changes needed by GT users using whatever downloading clients whenever necessary rather than wait for the users to raise their concerns in seek of help. Whatever the cases may be we are confident that GT, its Website and support rule and remain unmatched by any other in the same category for sure. So, keep up the great work boboo and the rest.
